ALPS EMI

The purpose of ALPS EMI (Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence) is to provide long term historical archiving and reporting of the manufacturing-related transactional data in the ALPS NET database. This allows the ALPS NET production assembly database to be pruned for optimal performance without loss of historical data.

The data is simultaneously transformed for the purposes of reporting, analysis, visual summaries, and passing data between enterprise-level and plant-floor systems. The primary goal is to turn large amounts of manufacturing data into real knowledge and drive business results based on that knowledge. ALPS EMI provides an ideal framework for the development of custom reporting and analysis.

The complete architecture for ALPS EMI is summarized in the figure below.

The licensed components are ALPS EMI; IN, OUT and ETL. One ALPS EMI ETL License ETL is required to transfer data from an ALPS NET database to an ALPS EMI database. One ALPS EMI IN and OUT License pair are required to transfer data between remote ALPS EMI databases, e.g. from the factory to a data center.
